Afshan Abidi DipCNM?
I am a qualified, insured nutritionist with a diploma in nutritional therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I am registered with the regulatory council for professional nutritional therapists CNHC, and a member of the professional body BANT. I regularly attend seminars and conferences to maintain my clinical knowledge and develop my skills.
In addition, I am a senior consultant with internationally renowned premier wellness company Herbalife, with which I have obtained a wealth of experience for over 15 years in the field of nutrition.
I have a strong passion and commitment to educating and changing the lifestyles of people I see everyday, suffering from aliments and conditions that directly attribute to their diet.
I have direct personal experience of how a bad diet can dramatically have a negative impact on your life.
For many years I suffered in silence with low energy levels and fatigue. I tried conventional treatment from my GP and the consultant, who I was referred to, with limited success. It was not until I sought alternative therapy that I discovered that I suffered from an auto immune disorder called Hashimoto-s thyroiditis, which I later learned was caused by my gluten intolerance.
Whilst working for Herbalife and studying at The College of Naturopathic Medicine, I had the opportunity to see clients from different walks of life that required a radical change in their diet and lifestyle. After their initial I consultation I was able to identify the root cause of their health issues and designed a specific protocol to help them to follow the right path.
I am always excited and extremely pleased to see the positive impact nutritional therapy, that I recommend, makes on their lives.
